Schismatoglottis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae, consisting of approximately 100 species predominantly found in tropical regions of Southeast Asia, New Guinea, and Melanesia, with the highest concentration on the Island of Borneo. These plants are generally small, evergreen herbs that thrive in lowland and lower montane rainforests.

Schismatoglottis is noted for its attractive patterned leaves, with many species displaying eye-catching variegation. The genus is relatively under-researched, but ongoing studies aim to clarify its complex internal relationships. The name Schismatoglottis derives from Greek, combining "schism" (meaning splitting) and "glotta" (meaning tongue), referencing the deciduous upper part of the spathe found in many species.

Schismatoglottis requires warm, humid conditions and consistently moist soil. They do best in medium to bright indirect light and benefit from a well-draining substrate. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it is essential to ensure the substrate does not become waterlogged.
